MISSION AND SUMMARY OF POSITION The Director of Marketing will report to the Chief Marketing Officer at 1st Global. The incumbent will direct all marketing communications activities which include marketing to and for financial advisors, supervising a staff of 6-8. This position will be responsible for the professional growth of the marketing staff and will be charged with facilitating ultimate efficiency and quality of communications output. This position is responsible for executing production while influencing the strategic direction and development of the marketing communications service center of 1st Global. In addition this position will oversee all aspects of the firm’s communication efforts, to build the firm’s brand, increase overall public awareness of the value proposition, and support all departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Management of the design, development, production/printing, and delivery of all necessary collateral materials to support brand building and promotional activities. • Lead and manage the personal development of a team of writers, designers, multi-media specialists and event planners • Own recruitment marketing strategy, designing and executing campaigns that will fill the pipeline of pre-qualified prospects for field recruiters • Develop, communicate and implement branding/visual identity standards and guidelines for all printed materials, packaging, booths and other promotional collateral. • Own and track annual marketing budgets, including complex events budgets. • Work closely with manager of third-party partner relationships to maximize revenue opportunities • Work closely with head of financial advisor education to maximize synthesis of information • Own ongoing productivity reporting for department • Manage design and content of external website, intranet and client website(s) • Coordinate communications projects with other departments. • Effectively communicate with all levels of the company including executive management
QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field • 10+ years of experience in marketing and communications required • 3-5 years in management roles • Financial services/ Investment industry experience required
SKILLS • Excellent written and presentation skills • Proven experience as leader for a marketing communications team • Ability to effectively communicate to staff of all levels with the company
